Smarter Balanced Digital Library

Hi all

I have signed up all staff in AOS 98 for access to the following Smarter Balanced Resource.  Read about it here.

In the coming days you will receive login information from the State of Maine, it will contain the link and temporary password for your access.  Once I am sure all have received this email I will forward some other resources for using the library.

Digital Library on Formative Assessment

In 2013, Smarter Balanced Governing States formed State Leadership Teams (SLTs) and State Networks of Educators (SNEs). These networks—involving nearly 2,000 educators—developed the Digital Library of formative assessment tools and professional resources.

The Digital Library includes a series of assessment literacy and exemplar instructional modules in English and math. In addition, the library will include professional learning and instructional materials contributed by teachers. The library is interactive, allowing users to rate materials and to share their expertise with educators across the state or across the country. Teachers can quickly search the Digital Library by criteria such as grade level, Common Core standards referenced, target student population, and much more.

K-12 teachers in Smarter Balanced member states can preview the Digital Library through September 30. Beginning October 1, the Digital Library will be available to teachers in subscribing member states and territories. Teachers interested in accessing the Digital Library should contact their state education agency.
