What elements of Domain 1 provide the greatest impact on student achievement?

Today, as we discussed the growth model being used by the district for teacher evaluation, Mark Gorey suggested that it would be valuable to pick those elements that have the greatest impact on student achievement.  I promised to look into any data on those strategies that have the biggest impact.  In the short term, I will repost here 3 posts I shared earlier about instructional approaches with the greatest impact as determined by John Hattie.  The first post is an introduction to Hattie’s work and the remaining expand on this research base.  Finally I have shared a post by a much smarter educator than I (Grant Wiggins) and his take on Hattie’s Research.
